Finally.....an update.

February 26th is the last time I really posted anything besides a link-up. If you don't remember, it was about Mojo and you can find it here.  We ended up having to put her to sleep.  I am still so terribly upset about it.  I constantly think about her and miss her terribly.  March 6th was mine and Tim's 6th Anniversary and we took her in that night. She was just so incredibly skinny and the biopsy showed that she was full of cancer and it was spreading fast.  We would have liked to have had that last night with her but the 7th was Kahle's 11th birthday and we just couldn't let him have that memory on his birthday.  It was really tough and really sad, but it was for the best.  Izzie still constantly talks about Mo and gets sad and wants her back. :(

To make things easier on the kids, we ended up getting a new puppy! I'm still not sure I am ready for this all over again, but she's starting to grow on me!

Her name is Halia (Ha-lee-uh) and her name is Hawaiian and means "remembrance of a loved one."  Don't let this sweet picture fool you though. She is a ball of energy and very naughty! She's 4 months old and already about 24 pounds! That is crazy when I think about Mojo who would have turned 8 in August and she only weighed about 45 pounds! Halia loves to terrorize Mya and Finnegan.  And sometimes Finnegan enjoys playing with her but mostly he just growls and chases her.  

As you can see, she spends most of her time on Mya!

She's such a goofy dog! And I love her floppy pittie lips!! :)

In other news, Izzie had her ballet recital and she did so good!!

She didn't always dance in practice, but when she got out on stage, she knew what she was doing and I was so proud of her!! She's also done with preschool for the year and excited to do her last year of preschool next year.

Kahle had his final band concert and is doing such a great job with the saxophone! I am so impressed by how talented he is! He wasn't sure he was going to keep going, but his Dad wants him too and honestly, he's so good, I want him too also. I loved band when I was in school and I hope he enjoys it too. He will be starting 6th grade in the fall and will be in middle school!! I just can't believe it! He had his field day yesterday and also his first baseball game.  He was pretty bummed he really didn't get to play and I'm hoping the rest of the season he will get to. It was so cold last night though! Mom and I were cuddled under blankets and I was fantasizing about some hot chocolate! It's the middle of May and we were watching baseball!! There should be no blankets and no hot chocolate. Come on Nebraska and get it together!

For some more exciting news........Kahle and I leave for Florida on the 28th!! My Mom was going to just take Kahle because I have a cousin graduating but I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to go too! Plus, it will be my first time flying and seeing the ocean. This poor Nebraska girl doesn't get out much!  Sadly, Tim and Izzie will be staying home but I think it will be great for Kahle and I to have that time to spend together. :)

I also got the best news ever from the best friend ever.....

SHE GOT US TICKETS TO BACKSTREET BOYS!!  I am beyond thrilled!! Thanks Andrea, I can't wait!!

Well, I think that's all the updating I need to do for now.  I need to start taking more pictures. I don't even have any of Kahle besides a couple from field day, and it's just a side view. I plan on taking tons in Florida though.  I hope everyone has a great weekend. I know I plan on catching up on some sleep!!
