A 3 day weekend is NOT long enough.

I am so exhausted today! I could have used an extra 3 days on my weekend. Nothing really exciting happened this weekend. Tim cleaned basically the whole house for me, which is wonderful!! To repay him, I made a pretty good meal for us all yesterday. We had BBQ chicken, corn casserole, fruit salad and deviled eggs and then for dessert I made a raspberry lemon pie! Everything turned out good, which makes me happy. One of my biggest disappointments is when I make something and it doesn't turn out very good. It really upsets me and ruins my day. I know, I shouldn't let something like that get to me, but it does.

I don't really have anything too exciting to post today so I will just leave a few pictures.

My sweet little Finnegan taking a nap.

Izzie decided to put lotion on her face.

Izzie decided to rest her legs on her Dad. :)

I guess that's all for now. I'm really a very boring person, hence the name of my blog! My life should be getting more interesting soon with summer almost here. We'll have baseball games, and a couple of trips planned. It's been 5 years since I last went on vacation and at the end of July we get to travel to TEXAS!!! I cannot wait. Like I said, it's been 5 years since my last vacation and we went to El Paso to visit my Grandpa, that's where we are headed again with a few more stops along the way. Also, I get to meet some "new" family but that's a story for another day.

Another weekend gone by.

I really am such a boring person! The weekend went by rather quickly and I did absolutely nothing at all. Well, I guess I worked for awhile on Saturday. Otherwise, my butt was planted on the couch and we caught up on shows and I caught up on some reading.

We had some thunderstorms this weekend!! I LOVE a good thunderstorm. Izzie got pretty scared when the power went out for a minute or so. She's never really experienced anything like that yet in her 3 years.  We never had any damage but I did hear that there were some trees in town, that were struck by lightning.

Tim started his new job yesterday!! Much better pay and much better benefits!! It's closer for him to drive to also so that saves on gas money.

I signed Izzie up for dance classes yesterday also. She will be taking Ballet/Tap and also Hip Hop this year. I'm so excited to see her out there shaking her booty! It's what she does best. Here's her picture with this year's recital costume.

I love how innocent she looks! (Not her usual look!)

Kahle started baseball practice tonight. That's his sport!! Thanks to his Grandma, he's been playing since he was 2! Once he got old enough to stop digging in the dirt, he's really got good!! He started catching last year and his coach is going to let him continue this year too. I hope his team will do good. There are only 3 4th graders on his team and the rest are 3rd graders. This will be the first year that the 3rd graders will have the opposing team pitch to them. It's always been our own coach pitching to our team. It will be interesting!!

Team Co-op this year!! (What a handsome man)

Well, not much else to report right now. It was pretty chilly today and I'm hoping that the weather will get a little warmer soon. I would like a few days of warm upper 70's weather but nothing too hot. I hate being sweaty!!

How can the weekend be over already??

I really dislike how quickly the weekend ends. Even when I have no major plans on the weekend, it's always over before I know it.

I had an exciting weekend actually! We went to ROCKFEST on Saturday. I am a HUGE rock lover! I know, it's strange, the majority of  people I follow on various social media love Country, but not this girl! :)
We drove to Council Bluffs in the morning and the show started at 1. First up was IAmDynamite. I am not a fan and luckily they were over soon enough.

Next was Hurt. Funny story about Hurt, well Tim doesn't find it funny, we had tickets to see them at a small venue in Lincoln about 5 years ago. It was winter time and we had to park a few blocks away to get there. Well, idiotic me forgot my ID in the car and I was too big of a weenie to go back and get it, and we just left and missed the show. I am kicking myself for that now. They were incredible!

Next up was Smile Empty Soul. I'm not really a big fan but the bassist has really cool dreads. :)

Then it was Taproot. I really like them. Since it was a real rock show, they did more of their heavier music but still played my two favorite songs! Plus they follow me on twitter and retweet me and tweet to me sometimes so that's exciting!

Next was Trapt! I have been a big fan for a very long time and they did not disappoint. They sounded so flawless and I will definitely see them again!

After Trapt was 10 Years. I liked them when they first came out and then didn't really pay much attention to them anymore. Tim likes them a lot and let me tell you, they put on one hell of a show. The singer is hilarious, as you can see by his outfit and they are great live too! I also plan on seeing them again soon!

The singer crowd surfed and this is what happened to his pants.

Next up was Hollywood Undead. I have seen them before and they were pretty good. They blew the PA but they got that fixed and carried on.

Sick Puppies were up next. They were good but I think they were a little too loud!

I love a female bassist! And she is awesome!

Sadly, both of our phones died so we didn't get any of Blue October. Justin (the lead singer) stood directly in front of me (I was in the front row) and we locked eyes and sang together. ;) I'm a nerd!!

Sunday was Mother's Day. Tim had to work so it was just Izzie and I. I let Kahle go to his Dad's for the weekend to make up time, even though it was my holiday. It was a nice day and we just hung out and did a little shopping with Mom and Alli (my sister.)

Well, that's all for now. See you again soon!

Garnier Oil-Free B.B. Cream

I was given a chance to try out the all new Garnier Oil-Free B.B. Cream from BzzAgent. I was very excited because I was under the impression that it was a replacement for foundation and kind of like a tinted moisturizer. I was a little disappointed though. It provided not a lot of coverage, I would have liked a little more. Also, when I read the instructions (because I'm a nerd like that) it said it's purpose was "Sunscreen" and it said to apply every 2 hours. Well, I don't know about you, but I don't have time to apply something every 2 hours every day. It's supposed to work on oily skin since there is no extra oil in it. Well, I do have an oily T-zone and the weird thing is, when I applied this, my nose and the spot between my eyebrows was flaky. I think I will keep using this product though. I don't know if it has a permanent spot in my makeup selection but it is light and great when I don't need a lot of coverage. I've included some before and after pictures. I'm not really sure you can tell the difference. Horrible pictures, horrible lighting.

Before (my face really is not that freakishly red!)

After

Sorry for my horrible pictures, I will have to perfect that I guess!
